I've decided to give Stitch Fix another shot. I haven't really purchased any clothing in the past year since I've stopped using Stitch Fix. If you want to read about why I decided to stop it, you can check it out my blog post here!
I've noticed that a lot of the clothes I've been wearing recently are still the ones I got from Stitch Fix about two years ago. Now that those items are a bit more worn down, I definitely need some new pieces. So I thought to myself, why not give Stitch Fix another shot and see what they send me. Hopefully they'll have some new things since a year ago and I need a style refresher anyway as the winter has found me in jeans, t-shirts and hoodies for the most part.
I also noticed that in the past year, Stitch Fix has added a new men's styling service as well as the ability to exchange items that you like, but don't necessarily fit when you receive them the first time. This was one feature I wished they had when I did Stitch Fix last year and was bummed out when I liked something, but it was the wrong size and I had to wait until my next fix to request the same item. I am super ecstatic that you can now exchange items for a different size!
Without further ado, here is what I got in my February 2017 fix!
- Liverpool Collen Straight Leg Jeans - $78
- Fate Howardson Striped Lightweight Sweater - $68
- 41Hawthorn Moni Studded Short Sleeve Blouse - $54
- 41Hawthorn Abrianna Longsleeve Knit Cardigan - $38
- Eliza J Delfine Ponte Dress - $98
First off, I really liked the Liverpool jeans, and you'll see them pictured in all the shots here. It fits really nicely and has some stretch to it, so are super comfortable. They are in a petite size, so it's just the perfect length for me!
The Fate Howardson sweater was really nice as well. It is a tad big on me, but I feel that with the Liverpool jeans, they work really nicely together. I also liked that the ends of the sleeves and the collar had an organic finish versus being tailored. I think it gave the sweater more personality and fits the light-weightiness of the look.
I wasn't so thrilled when I opened up my box and saw the 41Hawthorn Moni Studded Short Sleeve Blouse. I received a very similar item in my January 2016 fix and absolutely hated it. That one, however, was more sheer and came with a camisole because it was so sheer, and had brass studs, which I absolutely hated! To my surprise, this version of that blouse is not half bad.
This blouse paired with the 41Hawthorn Abrianna Knit Cardigan makes me love it even more. I like how the buttons actually peep out from the cardigan, which gives the entire look a nice touch. I love this cardigan as it has a nice A-line cut and, it being a draped cardigan, makes me look more elongated (aka, taller) than I am! It's a great everyday cardigan that I can pair with almost everything.
Lastly, when I took out the Eliza J Delfine Ponte Dress out of the box, I fell in love with it. This is my favorite item from my fix this month. I love the gold zipper detailing on the back and how it contrasts with the deep burgundy (watch the video to see!). I also like how the cut of this dress looks on me, along with the cap sleeves, it's a great dress for work or parties!
I think my 2017 Stitch Fix adventure has started off on a great foot! I ended up keeping all five of these items. I wasn't so sure about the Moni blouse, but seeing that you get 25% off the entire purchase if you keep all five items, that blouse worked out to be free!
I can't wait to see what is in store for March!
