October Stitch Fix Review

Thank you to everyone who participated in my giveaway last month!  Congratulations to Allyson and Michelle who were the two lucky winners of a $50 gift card to Stitch Fix.  My October fix was very delightful this month, and though I got a new stylist (yet again), she hit the nail on the head with all the items she selected!

Here are the items that I got this month:

  • Market & Spruce Dollie Tie Back Neck Knit Top
  • Lugo Split Neck Blouse by 41Hawthorn
  • Alan French Terry Asymmetrical Zip Cardigan by Market & Spruce
  • Kut from the Kloth Sienna Cropped Pant
  • Papermoon Marisol Mixed Material 3/4 Sleeve Knit Top
There were two items I got that did not fit me right off the bat and they were the Lugo Split Neck Blouse by 41Hawthorn and the Sienna Cropped Pant by Kut from the Kloth.  I was actually super bummed out about that because I loved both of those items!  Alas, they had to go back.

41Hawthorn Lugo Split Neck Blouse ($68)

I really liked the style of this blouse.  It's got a camisole on the inside since the blouse is slightly sheer, which I thought was a nice touch.  I liked the rollup sleeve, the black stripes on white and the neckline on this.  There's absolutely nothing I don't like about it, except for the fact that it didn't fit!  Bummer.

Kut from the Kloth Sienna Cropped Pant ($58)

Slightly better experience with these pants than with the 41Hawthorn top... I actually got these on!  However, they were just slightly too tight.  They fit on me, but it was like a glove.  I think if these were a size larger, they would've been perfect.  Again, nothing I didn't like about this one either.  I liked how they were cropped pants, and the material was very comfortable.  Again, another bummer.

Market & Spruce Alan French Terry Asymmetrical Zip Cardigan ($68)

My stylist said she saw an asymmetric jacket on my Pinterest board, so decided to include this piece in my fix this month.  I've been wanting one of these jackets forever!  It fit perfectly and was very comfortable.  It's snug, but has just the right amount of stretch to it.  I'm definitely keeping this one!

Market & Spruce Dollie Tie Back Neck Knit Top ($54)

I actually really liked this one and thought the open back on this sweater was unique.  I, however, just received a grey Market & Spruce sweater in last month's fix.  Even though the other one was short sleeved, I still felt that the two were too similar in order for me to purchase another one.  This top was incredibly comfortable, but all in all, it was a bit plain.  I decided to return this one.

Papermoon Marisol Mixed Material 3/4 Sleeve Knit Top ($48)

I really like this top and how the back is different from the front.  The front is knit and the back is more of a blouse material, which I thought was fun.  Plus, I'm a sucker for polka dots!  The only weird thing about this is that since the materials are different, the back of the shirt doesn't have as much stretch as the front.  So at times, it feels a little awkward.  But all in all, I love how this looks and am keeping it!

Overall, style-wise, this fix was right on point!  These items were all very "me" and I really liked each one.  I think if the blouse and cropped pants have fit, I would've kept all 5 of these items.  One thing I did learn this month is that your Pinterest board really helps out your stylist.  My stylist wrote in the note card that she got inspiration for most of these items from the things I pinned on my board.  If you have a Pinterest board, make sure you share it with your stylist!  I give this month's fix an overall score of 4 out of 5.  I was absolutely delighted by these.
